Alef Meem brand is based on the need for good prayer clothes that are breathable, comfortable and tasteful. The company’s vision was to build an elegant brand, which celebrates prayer and Islamic values, as well as become a go-to prayer brand in the Emirates region.
This website was somewhat of an unusual brief for us. Our design team needed to apply cultural awareness along with a solid understanding of what could influence their target market’s purchase choices. For example, we used right-aligned content to allow for simple transition into Arabic versions. Our ecommerce specialists worked hard to implement brand assets into a highly user friendly website, in order to convert the maximum number of visitors into customers.
Their newly designed website showcases their products effectively using good photography, but is also fast loading and simple to navigate. By carefully choosing the colour palette and UI design elements, we managed to build a website which evokes a sense of calm and reflection. We believe that the new website perfectly fits the client’s brief showing that prayer time can be done stylishly with Alef Meem products.
Another Ecommerce project for the same client is The Dana Store, who are an Emirati brand inspired by local habits and lifestyle. Their collections are joyful and uniquely stylish.
The new website Higher Ground built for them needed to convey this festive spirit and playfulness, yet be easy to navigate. We used an offset grid to allow their brand elements to create a sense of flow using lateral scrolling. Colours were also of strong importance as their target buyers are large event organisers in the Emirates region.
